Depth, built layer by layer
Our artists begin with a light sketch, then develop colour, depth and light through successive layers of oil over several days. Final highlights and details are refined only when the composition feels balanced.

Painting details
A square abstract composition built from a loose grid of rectangular cells, each filled with dense vertical ridges of thick paint that read like corrugated plaster. Wide gutters of warm off-white separate the cells, their uneven, hand-made edges giving the grid a quiet, woven rhythm.
The palette stays close to cream, pale grey-beige, soft umber and muted charcoal, with a few cells glowing in rust-orange accents and soft tonal washes glazed over the ridged surface. Calm and tactile, this textured neutral piece suits a living room, bedroom or office styled around warm, earthy tones.
One artwork per selection. Available stretched or in a float frame; not offered rolled.

CANVAS & FRAMING
Choose your finish
Choose how your painting arrives: rolled for local mounting, stretched without an outer frame, or finished with a solid-wood float frame. Available options depend on the artwork and selected size.
Rolled Canvas
Your painting is supplied as an unmounted canvas, carefully rolled for transport. It does not include wooden stretcher bars or an outer frame and is not ready to hang.
Choose this option if you prefer to arrange stretching or framing with a local framer. Local mounting and framing costs are not included. Works with textures that cannot safely be rolled are not offered in this format.
Stretched Canvas
Your painting is stretched over an internal wooden support, with no decorative outer frame. It arrives mounted and ready to hang for a simple, canvas-only presentation.
The wooden support holds the canvas taut; it is not an outer frame. Choose this option for an unframed look, or have a compatible outer frame added locally later.
Solid-Wood Float Frame
Your painting is stretched over its wooden support and fitted inside a solid-wood outer frame. A narrow shadow gap separates the canvas from the frame, creating a floating, gallery-style finish.
Available finishes are Oak, Black, White, Gold and Silver, as offered for your selected size. The frame is made to fit your painting and arrives assembled and ready to hang. The canvas support and outer frame are both included; no separate stretching is needed.

The paintings look beautiful and were well packaged with no damages. They are hand painted which does take time before they are ready, but they were well worth it once they arrived. They also were willing to make tweaks through the production process at my request. They were perfect for our living room around our fireplace. I would absolutely order from HOUSE OF OCHRE again.

We couldn’t be happier with our new painting and experience with HOUSE OF OCHRE! The level of communication and timely response to our questions was amazing. The ability to customize size and colors was important in our decision to make our first purchase. The painting arrived created and in excellent condition and ready to hang. Even though this was a larger piece (72×54), my husband and I were able to install it ourselves. I’m not an art collector but I would definitely purchase again from HOUSE OF OCHRE. If you are apprehensive about purchasing online, don’t worry, they made each step of the process super easy and flawless!

This artwork turned our quiet dining wall into a fun, lively gallery space! The artwork is a continuous hit with guests, and the frame color pairs naturally with our dark wood dining table. The artwork is quite large, so hanging it up required two people to ensure it was properly aligned, but we could not be happier with how it looks.

A stunning piece of contemporary narrative art. Hung it right by the stairwell, and the giant red tomato focal point immediately catches everyone’s eye. The canvas texture is rich, giving off an authentic studio feel. It came with everything needed for installation, and the mounting process was straightforward. Truly impressed by the craftsmanship.

My study room with leather furniture needed a powerful art piece to tie together the warm, rustic ambiance. Flat canvas reproductions just didn’t cut it, and vintage oil paintings were way out of budget. I chose this dual-horse artwork for its striking composition and rich earth pigments. The package was heavy, so unboxing and mounting required two of us, but the heavy texture and dramatic presence on the wall make it worth every penny.
