Our Approach

Art is one of the most enduring choices in a room. Furniture can be rearranged and lighting can change, but a painting can set the emotional register of a space for years. Our approach begins there: we choose slowly, and we choose for rooms rather than catalogues.

How we select

Each candidate work is considered against three quiet questions:

  • Presence — does it hold a wall without shouting? We look for composition and brushwork that reward a second and third look.
  • Liveability — could you enjoy living beside it every day? We favour palettes that gather a room rather than dominate it: ochre, bone, clay, smoke, and sea-glass.
  • Proportion — will the design work at real scale? Our collection spans portrait, square, and landscape proportions, with a size range chosen for each individual work.

Rooms, not showrooms

Product pages use artwork previews and interior visualizations to help you imagine scale, colour, and framing in a room. These images present the design and styling possibilities; they are not photographs of the finished made-to-order painting, and room scenes are not to scale.

Where an interactive frame preview is available, it follows your selected finish. The finished painting will still carry the individual brushwork, texture, and tonal variation of a work painted by hand.

An edited collection

We favour a considered collection over an endless catalogue. Designs are selected for their ability to live comfortably in real interiors, and the collection evolves as new subjects, palettes, and proportions earn their place.

That is our approach: quiet criteria, useful visual guidance, and art that feels chosen — because it was.
