These Terms of Service govern your use of the HOUSE OF OCHRE website and online store and your purchase of products from us. The store operates using WordPress and WooCommerce. By using the store or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Online store use
You may use the store only for lawful purposes and if you are legally able to enter into a purchase contract. You must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or use our content or services in violation of applicable law or another person’s rights.
Products and handmade variation
We make reasonable efforts to present descriptions, dimensions, materials, colours, prices, and images accurately. Each painting is made by hand, so brushwork, texture, tone, composition details, and colour may vary reasonably from reference images. Screen settings and room lighting may also affect how colours appear.
Product availability, specifications, and prices may change before an order is accepted. Frames, canvases, and other materials may be replaced with substantially equivalent materials if a listed material becomes unavailable, but we will contact you where a change would materially affect the product.
Orders and acceptance
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not by itself mean that an order has been accepted. We may reject, limit, or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including suspected fraud, pricing or inventory errors, inability to deliver, or a violation of these terms. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the affected amount.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing, delivery, and contact information and for promptly notifying us of an error.
Prices, currency, duties, and taxes
All prices and checkout totals are displayed and charged in US dollars (USD). Customers in the United States, Canada, and Australia all complete payment in USD; card issuers may apply their own currency conversion or foreign-transaction fees. Taxes are not added as a separate charge at checkout. For normal delivery to the United States, Canada, and Australia, applicable import duties and taxes are included in the displayed purchase price. If a carrier unexpectedly requests an import payment, contact us before paying where reasonably possible.
If a material pricing error is discovered before fulfilment, we may cancel the affected item and refund it or ask whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price.
Payment
Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may be provided by third-party payment processors. You authorise us and the applicable processor to charge the amount shown at checkout. A payment may be declined or reviewed by the processor or card issuer under its own terms.
Production, review, and delivery
Artwork is made to order. Estimated dates follow the product-page timeline shown when you place your order: painting completion in 7–10 calendar days and delivery in 12–18 calendar days from the order date, including production. These dates are estimates, not guarantees; photo review, revisions, or shipping delays may extend them. Before shipment, we send photographs of the finished painting and allow reasonable revision requests.
We ship after your approval. If you request revisions, we send updated photographs for your review before shipping.
We currently deliver only to the United States, Canada, and Australia. The Shipping Policy forms part of these terms.
Cancellations, returns, and refunds
Standard orders may be cancelled before shipment, including during photo review. A cancellation of a custom-colour or non-standard-size order before shipment incurs a US$100 materials fee, subject to mandatory consumer law. Once dispatched, an order cannot be directly cancelled and the return policy applies.
Return eligibility, the 14-day request period, return shipping, custom-item exclusions, damage claims, and refund timing are described in our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Intellectual property
The HOUSE OF OCHRE name, website design, text, graphics, photographs, artwork presentations, and other store content are owned by us or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Purchasing a physical artwork does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit, or create unauthorised derivative works from the artwork or store content.
Third-party services and links
The store may rely on hosting, WooCommerce, payment, email, production, fulfilment, and delivery providers. Third-party services and linked websites are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content that we do not control.
Store availability
We aim to keep the store accurate and available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend or change website features for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.
Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies warranties, guarantees, remedies, or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HOUSE OF OCHRE is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the store or products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page. Changes apply prospectively from the published effective date, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Applicable law
These terms and each transaction are subject to applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory protections available to consumers in their place of residence.
