HOUSE OF OCHRE began the way many good rooms do — with a wall that felt unfinished. We wanted hand-painted artwork with the warmth of a real studio: oil paint on artist canvas, visible brushwork, and colours that hold the light of a room rather than fight it. When we could not find enough of that feeling gathered in one place, we decided to curate it ourselves.
Chosen with intention
Every design in the collection is selected by hand. We look beyond short-lived trends for work with quiet presence — pieces that can sit comfortably above a reading chair, anchor a dining room, or soften the geometry of a modern space.
Our paintings are made to order rather than held as finished stock. Each finished work is painted by hand, so brushwork, texture, tone, and small composition details naturally vary from the design imagery shown online.
Painted for you, finished for the room
Each product page lists the sizes and delivery formats available for that particular design. Depending on the work and selected size, you may choose Rolled Canvas, Stretched Canvas, or a Float Frame in Oak, Black, White, Gold, or Silver. Rolled Canvas is supplied unmounted and is not ready to hang.
Our promise
We keep the choices clear with product-specific dimensions, finish options, and room visualizations to help you plan your space. Artwork and room previews are design visualizations rather than photographs of the finished painting, and room scenes are not to scale.
Before dispatch, we email photographs of your completed painting so that you can review it and request reasonable revisions. If you need advice about materials, mounting, framing, or oversized delivery, please contact us before ordering.
